A message from your President, Susan West…
It is an honor to be representing The Cherokee Association of REALTORS®, this year as your President! I am So Proud to announce that we will be Serving our Community of Cherokee County this year, by Partnering with Habitat for Humanity in building a House in Cherokee County. This will be a Huge undertaking to raise the funds needed to build this house for a deserving family. I have Faith in you, our Members that we can make it happen! WHAT better way to show our neighbors, friends and family members that WE, Cherokee REALTORS®, care about our Community ! We not only fight for Private Property rights, we support Home Ownership, right here in Cherokee County.
I want this to be a project that everyone gets involved in. We need YOU! The REALTORS® in Your office, Your Friends, Your Family, Your Clients, past and present. Did I say….We need YOU? We are having Our First Meeting next Thursday, February 21st at Noon for a working lunch meeting at the COAR Office. Colleen Forgery with Habitat will be there to go over the new website and to discuss in more detail what will be needed to make this Build a Success. We will need to Raise up to $80,000 by August. We can also have In-Kind Services and materials donated to help subsidize the Build. She will go into more detail on that as well.
Please try to attend next Thursday, Feb. 21st to learn how YOU can help. The Location for the Build has already been determined. It will be just outside DT Woodstock off Lyndee Lane. The Build is scheduled to Start in October. We will need volunteers then to help with the Build for about 3 months. We will have a schedule for volunteers and the days needed when we get Closer to the Build start date. I hope to see you next week. If you cannot attend, we will be sending out emails letting you know how you can help.
