This event was well attended and our Association stood out as a strong supporter of Habitat for Humanity. Over the last 20 years Habitat North Central Georgia has impacted approximately 1000 people. In 2016 they expect to complete 19 projects to include new construction and home repairs. 64 Family members were served in 2014, including 37 children ranging in age from a few weeks old to 16. Through Habitat North Central Georgia’s tithing 10% of undesignated funds, they have helped to construct 186 homes overseas. Over 270+ homes have been built or rehabilitated by Habitat North Central Georgia since their inception in 1995 within their service area of North Fulton, Forsyth, Cherokee and Dawson Counties.
CAOR is proud of its partnership with Habitat North Central Georgia and the impact we are able to make within our community, and we look forward to not only continuing this partnership into 2016, but expanding our relationship by helping with rehabilitating homes for local Veterans in Cherokee County through another partnership with the Canton American Legion Post 45.
